Project Rescue
Human Trafficking:
Over 4 million people are being held in bondage globally... trapped in the horrors of sexual exploitation. We are on a mission to change that.
-What is Human Trafficking? Human Trafficking is the exploitation or sale of a person into commercial sexual servitude or forced labor.
-What is Sex Trafficking? Sex Trafficking encompasses the range of activities involved when a trafficker uses force, fraud, or coercion to compel another person to engage in a commercial sex act or causes an adult or child to engage in a commercial sex act.
Statistics:
*There are over 6.3 million people enslaved in forced commercial sexual exploitation in the World today
*Over 1.6 million children are enslaved in sexual exploitation.
*Human Trafficking generates $150 billion a year.
Initiatives:
Project Rescue structures their programs within three initiative categories:

-Prevention, We believe the most strategic thing we can do to end sexual exploitation is to stop it before it starts.
-Intervention, Our network is continually trying to detect women and children trapped or at high risk of sexual exploitation. Once identified, our programs focus on finding avenues toward freedom, restoring dignity, and empowering survivors to take the first step into a new beginning.
-Restoration, We are committed to meeting the long-term complex needs of all in our care through holistic programs that support each woman and child – body, mind, and spirit.
Project Rescue:
Project Rescue is a multinational network of partners and affiliates who share the same commitment and passion for restoring Hope in the lives of survivors of sexual exploitation and slavery.

-Project Rescue believes life-changing rescue for sexually exploited women is not a momentary or part-time enterprise.
-Yes, miracles happen. But genuine freedom with hope for a different future and dignity requires an intensive long-term commitment.
-Our multinational network of partners are committed to seeing Hope restored in the lives of survivors of sexual exploitation.
